PLEASE NOTE: Due to social distancing measures implemented by the City of Philadelphia, all live music venues and other public gatherings for more than 250 people have been canceled at least through March 31. We are hoping that these amazing acts will be able to reschedule and will keep everyone posted about any new updates, as information becomes available.

PHILLY, YOU READY?

Let’s call this show highly-anticipated, shall we?

For those of us who were geeked when Brother Yasiin’s show was first announced last year, it has felt like the elements are conspiring for it never to happen. And recent fear of COVID-19 looms large here in Philadelphia, but the show must go on. All the more reason for true lovers of hiphop and our culture to stand up and gather in peace, solidarity, and project wellness…to and among each other.

Our good friends at Jr Music Execs and publicist Zoe Lowry have put their superpowers together to bless us with a pair of tickets to give away for what is sure to be an epic night of lyrics and rhythms - Friday, March 20th at The Ave Live (formerly Egypt Nightclub), one of Philly’s newly-revived venues for live music performance.

For your chance to win, email us at info@soul-sanctuary.net with your response (150 words or less) to the question posed by Syd in the film classic Love And Basketball:

WHEN DID YOU FIRST FALL IN LOVE WITH HIPHOP?

The most compelling response wins a pair of tickets to the show and will coordinate for a photo opp with Your VibeMistress Stephanie Renée (and, perhaps, some of the MCs too - no promises, but IJS…). Submissions must be received by 11:59pm EDT on Tuesday, Mar 17 for consideration.

If you don’t want to take a chance on winning and would rather purchase your tickets, please do so by clicking here.

See you soon, down at The Ave!
